help me find an image-hosting site



Can anyone recommend a good image-hosting site?

I am going to redo our website's picture page. I'm sick of hosting the pictures myself (although, technically, Kurt's hosting them). The work that goes into it keeps me from uploading more pictures.

I just want the "pictures" link to go straight to an image-hosting site where our friends and family can peruse folders of our pictures. People must be able to look at the pictures without joining the site and logging into it. And I must be able to add a caption to each picture to explain it. I also want to post pictures on my LiveJournal. Photobucket looks good for posting pictures on LiveJournal, but the free service is too space-limited for our website pictures. Right now, I'm looking at Image Shack, which offers unlimited space, but I'm not sure what its features are yet.

Suggestions from my photo-snapping friends would be greatly appreciated.

photobucket or webshots

try either of those and see if you like them

tinypic.com is good for those onesy-twosy livejournal pictures. Just upload a picture on their front page and they give you a url to access it.

I've heard people talking about Shutterfly and Flix. Don't know the exact url's off the top of my head though.

Yea, but I want something to host a lot of pictures organized in folders that other people can look through. For free. Is that too much to ask? :)

No recommendations here, but I will say that that picture makes me miss you guys. Now I'm sad. Maybe a shower will cheer me up.

Show me your issues with hosting on Kurt's site and maybe I can find you an easier way to upload your pictures. I'll be out in a few days if you can wait that long :)
