I wish MySpace and LiveJournal were big when I was in high school. I was pathetically painfully shy then and couldn't talk to anyone. People from my high school class are now getting MySpace pages, so I'm now and then transported back to high school in my memory when I find their pages. At least I had AIM then.

I often read random LiveJournals just for fun, and lots of high schoolers right now are connected to all of their real-life friends on MySpace and LiveJournal, and I admit I'm jealous.

In college, I got to know my future husband through instant messenger one summer. Then when we got back to school, we started hanging out a lot. For some of us, that's just how it's going to be.

I think I can talk to people now. And anyway, I have snagged myself a husband, so life is good.
